- When counting the balls, always start at the "loop end."
- Use a small spoon to help push the disc into place inside the head pot.
- You may need to make a spacer for the bone inside the head pot depending
on the thickness of your chair. PVC pipe works, just carefully cut to length
and slip over the bone sticking out of the pot. Make your spacer short
enough so there is room to snap a disc under a ball on the bone inside the
head pot. This disc should fit tight, as this is what holds the body pots
and head pot firmly to the chair.
- Use glazed pots to make "clothing" for your Clay Pot-Person; blue pots will
simulate blue jeans, red pots can be used for a "shirt."
- You can use old boots for feet by eliminating Step 4-2. Step 4-2 adds
two pots to the length of the legs.
- You can build your Clay Pot-Person out of buckets. Just substitute the
bucket size for the pot size. There will probably be a small difference in
sizes, but getting close to size will work.
- Pots required to build a small Clay Pot-Person:
(1) 8" pot for the head (6" pot will work for the head)
(2) 8" pots for the body
(16) 4" pots for the legs
(12) 4" pots for the arms (3" pots will work for the arms)
- It is easier to build a small Clay Pot-Person using a small chair with arms.
